AIA National Photography Competition

Produced by The American Institute of Architects St. Louis Chapter

This year, the St. Louis AIA Chapter will celebrate it’s thirtieth year hosting the annual AIA National Photography competition. This competition was “founded to capture and honor architects, design professionals and architectural students (AIAS members) whose amazing talents are showcased in their photographic interpretation of the designed environment.”

Any licensed architects, associate members, and AIAS members are welcome to submit architectural photos to this competition. See below for the call and for more information visit their website: AIA St. Louis Photo Contest.

PROSPECTUS

AIA St. Louis announces the 2019 AIA National Photography Competition. All entries must be submitted prior to the close of business on April 15, 2019. (5:00pm Central Time).

Click on AIA Nat’l. Photography Competition to read the rules, regulations, and directions to submit your photographs. Each entry fee allow submission of five (5) photographs.

14 winning images will be chosen and featured in an exhibit at A’19 Conference on Architecture in Las Vegas. Each of the winners will be provided a complimentary set of the notecards with his or her winning image. A compilation of all entries with photo credits will be made available to Design Centers and AIA Chapters for public showings.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to any and all architects actively registered in the US, as well as associate members and student members of AIAS in good standing. The subject matter must have an architectural theme or must contain some element of the manmade environment. Photographic interpretation of the subject matter is the issue, not the architecture. Entries must have been exposed by, and be owned by, the entrant.

Entry Fees

  • AIA members, $35 (five images)
  • Associate AIA members, $30 (five images)
  • AIAS members, $15 (five images)
  • Non-member registered architects, $70 (five images)

Entries submitted via USPS, FedEx or UPS must be postmarked no later than April 15th.
