The submittal portals now are open for all divisions and categories in the 2026 AIA South Dakota Awards Program. Honorees will be announced live from the stage during the Celebration of Architecture and Design Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Tickets will be available soon here.
Design Awards Deadline: Aug. 7
The juried Design Awards competition is open to all AIA South Dakota architect members. Awards may be submitted as an individual AIA SD member or as a firm with a key project member as an AIA SD member.

Design Awards will be due by 5 p.m. CT/4 p.m. MT on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026. Categories are as follows, with entries in each category eligible for Merit and Honor awards consideration
- Architecture: Large Project
- Architecture: Small Project
- Rolling Category: Best Moment

Nominated Awards Deadline: July 24
Nominated Awards recognize individual AIA SD members for their contributions to the architecture profession in South Dakota. The Nominated Awards process has its own jury, separate from the Design Awards competition.
