Lloyd is a multifaceted real estate company specializing in Development, Real Estate, Construction, Architecture, Property Management, Hospitality and Apartments. Working together or separately, our specialized business divisions bring valuable expertise and resources to every development project, construction venture or real estate investment. Headquartered in Sioux Falls SD for nearly 50 years, we offer uncompromising innovation, efficiency and service while working to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.

What is the role of architects at your organization, and what should people know about them?

Our architects at Lloyd work with development and construction teams to assist with project design including initial site layouts, conceptual test fits and construction documentation. They work to ensure code compliance, project feasibility and design intentions are met throughout the various project phases. Our team’s mission is to create functional and flexible designs that achieve our client’s goals.

What type of projects does your organization focus on?

Our current focus is on multifamily projects as a result of the market COVID-19 created. Our plans are to continue expanding into our other areas of expertise including commercial/retail, office, nonprofit and hospitality.

The VUE at Catron, Rapid City, SD. Our team is the foundation of our business which is one of the many reasons we constantly work to create a rewarding and cultivating culture.

Describe the history of your firm/organization.

It all began in 1972 when a young couple, Craig and Pat Lloyd, moved to Sioux Falls, SD to manage apartments for Craig’s uncle.

In time, Craig and Pat’s dream of building their own business evolved into Lloyd Companies.

Throughout the years, Lloyd evolved from a sole property management company to now offer development, real estate, construction, property management and hospitality services.

Currently, we have a portfolio of more than 7,500 apartments and many of the region’s finest developments, offices and retail centers.

We are headquartered in Sioux Falls and continue to be an industry leader with a strong presence throughout the Midwest.
