Now for something completely different! We have some iconic buildings, be them good or bad, scattered throughout our State. To feature some of these buildings, I created a scavenger hunt with the assistance of some colleagues. The images below feature details/close-ups from some buildings with iconic or perhaps “unique” detailing or style. Take a look at the images, and post your guesses as to what buildings they are. Answers can be placed in the comments of this post (use the image captions/# to identify each image). Extra points for guessing the right building AND the architect!
Hint, they are taken from buildings in Sioux Falls and Rapid City. Hopefully future editions can expand the scope a bit further to some of our other great communities.
If enough interest, we may be able to offer “prizes” in the future – other than satisfaction of having a keen eye for detail – so make sure you submit your guesses in the comments, regardless of if you think you’re right or not. Thanks for playing!
